The Sierra de las Nieves National Park is located in a geographical hotspot of global change. This area presents a great variety of eco-geomorphological landscapes, the least studied being the one located above 1,600 m.a.s.l., with bioclimatic features of high mountains and prolonged human use. This work studies the eco-geomorphological and soil relationships in this sector, by means of an eco-geomorphological inventory and sampling and analysis of soil properties along a longitudinal transect, in a depression of calcareous slopes and presence of gullies. The results show a lack of statistical relationship between the variables considered, which indicates the existence of an eco-geomorphological pattern that could be similar to that of the islands of fertility, characteristic of semi-arid environments, as a consequence of bioclimatic conditions and the impact of inherited human use. This finding should be further investigated in future work.
